Make Your San Francisco Vacation More HomeyMany people travel abroad to experience the world, but living in America it seems to be overlooked that the country is massive and has many cities and wonders to behold. From the bustling metropolis of New York City, to the natural majesty of the Grand Canyon and countless attractions in between there are hundreds of things to be seen within the United States of America. One of the jewels of the West Coast is San Francisco and it is indeed called the City by the Bay. Traveling to this unique urban center should be done at least once, and once having seen it you will surely come back! To do things right you should research San Francisco vacation rentals for your accommodations. Hotels can be impersonal things and can restrict you from really settling in and becoming comfortable. You are living our of your suitcase and can never truly attain a homey feeling. Plus, it can be a pain to come back to when you are in need of rest or a nap throughout the day. A vacation rental acts as a substitute for your home while you are away. You can save money by being able to eat in for breakfast and it can be extremely convenient to be able to come home throughout the day. San Francisco can be an especially difficult place to drive due to the preponderance of one way streets, as well as the fact that parking is an absolute nightmare. If you cannot parallel park, it is best not to have to drive through town. Getting a vacation home that is in the middle of the action can give you a jumping off point to enjoy all the sites and sounds. There are many things to see while you are in San Francisco and one of the most famous is Pier 39. This pier is full of shops and activity at almost all times, but it is also in proximity to a number of other attractions as well as being the place to get onboard for around the bay tours, or tours going to Alcatraz. There is no need to limit yourself to just the most famous areas. While everyone is jamming into Pier 39, you can slip past and walk to the other piers down the road, namely one that hides a hidden gem called the Museum of Mechanical Wonders. These wonders are comprised of still working early twentieth century carnival games! Afterwards you can stroll across the way to Ghirardelli Square for some of the best hot chocolate in the country and than take a short cab ride to Chinatown. Within the confines of Chinatown you will find a number of delicious restaurants and interesting shops, as well as attractions like the walking Ghost tour. There are countless neighborhoods from the Mission to Golden Gate Park and each with their own brand of occupant. San Francisco is a city of contradictions that makes it more interesting and every type of person is welcome. Posted in San Francisco, Travel, Uncategorized, Vacation Rentals |
